Course Instructor: Kristen Kurland
Kristen Kurland holds a joint faculty position at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz School of Public Policy and Management and School of Architecture. She teaches Computer Aided Design (CAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). In addition to her technology courses, Kristen’s work includes built environment, urban design, and health care issues. She also has a strong interest in distance education and has been teaching through this medium for many years.
She is also the president of a consulting firm and her clients include architects, engineers, hospitals, universities, corporations, and government agencies.
