VISTACAST UNVEILS THE FIRST IPOD TRAINING SYSTEM SOLUTION FOR FULL COURSE, TRACKING AND REPORTING TRAINING CAPABILITY FOR LEARNERS USING IPODS
Orem, UT – May 10, 2007 – Vistacast LLC, and Makau Corporation, your next-generation training partner and your iPod training expert, today, announced the vLearning iPod Training System (ViTS) as the first enterprise software solution that enables courses developers and training administrators to put full courses in the iPod. These courses are complete with screens that lead a learner to watch video content, take quizzes and report results to a learning management system for measurement and accreditation. The training administrator has complete access to metrics information for each learner authorized in the iPod.
“While, many companies are utilizing Apple’s iPod device for training, they are not able to track and report the training.” Jose J. ViTS is the first end-to-end solution to offer content providers the flexibility of using several transports such as satellite, Internet and ATSC datacasting reaching the mobile workforce wherever they are, while maintaining the distance learning standard of learning management systems (SCORM).
THE vLEARNING SOLUTION
ViTS is focused on managing and providing training in the iPod that includes full multimedia, video, audio and text at lower cost than current solutions. The system is designed to have a software module that runs on the administration server interfacing to the Learning Management System (LMS) and another software module that runs in tandem with iTunes on the student PC.
“Sales associates will be able to receive training that will be loaded into the iPod by the vLearning iPod Training System.” said Alan Langford, Network Manager for JCPenney. “iPod training will enable associates to take courses at the Point of Sale while tracking their metrics, which upon synchronization will provide reports to the administrator.”
